Nuo šiol ekstremalių pojūčių mėgėjams Britanijoje bus siūloma nauja pramoga: leistis į tamsias giliausio urvo prarajas.

Jorkšyre siūlomos ekstremalios pramogos organizatoriai už 15 svarų mokestį visiems norintiems siūlo galimybę nusileisti žemyn iš dukart didesnio nei Niagaros krioklių aukščio.

Kaip rašo britų laikraštis express.co.uk, kelionė į Šiaurės Jorkšyre esančią gigantišką įdubą, pavadinimu „Gaping Gill“, prilyginama išvykai į žemės centrą. Fotografas Paul Kingston, įamžinęs įspūdingus vaizdus, pasidalijo savo patirtimi: „Pamažu leidausi į juodą prarają. Iš pradžių virš urvo atsidarė pakeliami vartai, o besileidžiant žemyn šviesa palengva pavirto į tamsą. Viršuje susimoki 15 svarų, užsidedi neperšlampamus drabužius ir apsauginį šalmą, o tada per kokią minutę atsiduri apačioje. Nors atsidarius apsauginiams urvo vartams yra baugu, tačiau ši patirtis fantastiška. Tuomet esi laisvas bastytis ir patyrinėti požeminius tunelius drauge su labia patyrusiais žmonėmis.“

 

„Gaping Gill“ susiformavo prieš tūkstančius metų, dėl vykusios Fell Beck srovės, tekančios nuo vienos aukščiausių šios kalnuotos vietovės viršūnių, pavadinimu Ingleborough, sukeltos erozijos.

Ekstremali pramoga – nusileisti į giliausio Britanijos urvos (475 pėdų ilgio ir 115 pėdų aukščio) dugną – trunka 1 minutę. Urvas apšviestas prožektoriais, todėl lankytojai galės pasinaudoti reta galimybe išvysti unikalų vaizdą. Tiesa, apsilankymas urve yra ribojamas ir organizuojamas tam tikru metų laiku, šią savaitę ekspedicijas į „Gaping Gill“ rengia Bradford Potholing klubas.
