Maždaug 25 proc. į pensiją išėjusių Didžiosios Britanijos gyventojų per 15 metų nuo išėjimo į pensiją vėl įsidarbina, atskleidė Mančesterio universiteto ir Londono karališkojo koledžo sociologų atliktas tyrimas.

Pažymėtina, kad dauguma pensininkų vėl įsidarbina per pirmuosius penkerius metus po išėjimo į pensiją, ir vyrai tai daro dažniau nei moterys.

Mokslininkai taip pat mėgino išsiaiškinti, ar pensininkai vėl įsidarbina dėl sunkios finansinės padėties, tačiau jiems nepavyko padaryti labai aiškios išvados. Viena vertus, vis dar būsto paskolą grąžinantys pensininkai 50-čia procentų dažniau dirba po 65 metų amžiaus. Kita vertus, kitose šis rodiklis neaugo grupėje respondentų, kurie nurodė turintys finansinių problemų.

Be to, tyrimo rezultatai rodo, kad dažniau dirbti vėl pradeda tie pensininkai, kurių išsilavinimas yra geresnis.
