Thousands of citizens have signed a petition calling for northern England to become part of Scotland, which does not hide its intentions of secession from the United Kingdom in the near future.

The claim highlights the historical links between these places, recalling that the current government has for years promised but failed to live up to its promise to invest in northern England, whose economic performance is significantly lower than in the southern UK.

A petition with 28,000 signatures

A petition published last week calls for northern England to separate itself from „South with London in the center” and join the newly emerging Scotland.
